As your love grows
I feel my weak heart
Pulling further away
As it's ripped apart

No one's left to show me
The right direction
This veil of darkness
Is my only protection

These marks on my arm
Create a violent maze
That leads me off the edge
Into a poisonous haze

My cold hands are trembling
I can't hold the blade
My eyes get so watery
The red starts to fade

My cuts are made shallow
But grow deeper like pain
The emotion drips out
And I pray it all drains

Blood collects like dew
On the cold, morning grass
I now await the sun
So the next day will pass
