A young girl stood looking out of her bedroom window.
Oblivious to the horrors of the world around her.
Only fears are monsters, hiding in the dark shadows.
Now that young girl is older, but still stares out the window.
But now is because she cannot sleep,
due to the tears that cover her face,
and the unhappiness sweeping over her.
She looks out at the world around her once again.
The familiar sight she sees each night.
People living their lives as she contemplates ending hers.
They have reason to live,
she can't see any.
Could I help her?
Convince her that life will get better?
But convincing yourself of something you do not believe is hard to do.
The little girl is me.
And I want to be her again.
