blissful pursuits to the heartless pair
the screams and sweat linger in the air
the ground is solid, the tears are dry
the gods above no longer hear the cry
the enjoyment of torture is done for the day
the winds of the world continue their way
graves in the desert for future fun
faces to never again touch the burning sun.
