My mouth wide open
To curse and yell
Pushing down the urge to kill
Just making it stronger still

Shut off the thoughts that play with my head
'Till I'm alone in the corner of my bed
I can feel the blade in my hand again
Watch the scar be made again
And as the blood runs down my arm
Everyone is safe from harm
The angry thoughts evaporate
Leaving me in a bloody state
Through the day, the pain it lingers on
Telling me that I am strong

And when I feel out of control
And I need to get back in
I take a deep breath
And cut deep inside my skin

I'm not proud of what I do
But even when the pain makes me wince
The blood, it makes me smile
Everyone needs to take the edge off life
And this is just my style.
