Friends never really listen
Family never trully cares .........................When I try to tell them something
They respond with a blank stare

I guess I cant quite blame them
They just can't comprehend
How this quiet little girl
Has a defect they can't mend

They don't see what's inside
They can't grasp how I feel
They just look at my smiling face
And doubt my pain is real

You see my smile is my armour
It keeps me safe inside
It makes them think I'm happy
It doesn't show I've cried

So now Im finally frowning
Trying to let them see.........................That this smiling, laughing, happy girl
Really isn't me

They don't know how to help me
They don't even try at all
So I'll go back to my armour
And keep smiling untill I fall
