She stares at me.
Her cold silver body reflecting the light from my lamp.
Why won't she just let me be?<
Doesn't she understand?
We're through!
It was fun while it lasted, but I have to move on.
She will never be accepted into my group of friends,
And I can't make it if I only depend on her.
Life goes on, and she needs to learn to let go.
Or do I?
Is it that she is looking at me longingly?
Or is it the other way around?
Who controls who?
Does it even really matter at this point?
Why should I be forced to choose between friends?
Who do they think they are, trying to force me like this?
I wrap my fingers around her, and gently pick her up.
"Yes, we can still be friends", I whisper softly.
"I still love you.
I still care.
For I know you will never leave.
You made a promise to me long ago, and I know you plan to keep it...
Till death do we part."
