My name was Rebekah Tapp (I was married on May 5, 2007, so it is now Rebekah McClain). I have a few things posted on this site. Most of them were written so long ago when I was in so much pain and really, I needed to send an update.

The people that have left comments telling me that I will get through this were right. In a few of the stories, I mention my "boyfriend." He is now my husband. I haven't cut myself or had anything to do with SI since September 16, 2002.

-------

there once was a child
who always loved to play
she would run in fields of grass
day after day

she had a loving family
and a lot of friends who cared
but deep down inside
nobody knew she was scared

she had a dark past
and only her closest friends knew
the story of her life
and what she had been through

there once was a child
who always felt left out
inside the only thing she had
was a lot of pain and doubt

I can't let you notice
I can't let you see
that the girl in the poem
is actually me
