benediction whispered into the crisp dank air
woven black shroud draped over a lifeless figure
permanent tear drops on clammy rose cheeks
killer and victim lying side by side inside and out
gashed tributaries flowing into the mainstream of hate
erupted with fits of crimson blood on linoleum floors
pregnable heart conquered by hate and indomitable strength even went up in the flames
killer and victim resting on the same sheets
hand in hand soul to soul
rumors spread all around and the ghost is already cutting the flesh
thought life after death wouldn't be such an emotional rush
yet whispers cling to walls and slowly drip down windows in the late hours
haunting minds with impure insults and bringing the blood from the resting heart
killer and victim yearning for extreme death
artillery for suicide lined up for use
all while a benediction is whispered into the crisp dank air
lifting the shroud to see the face of one more statistic
killer and victim
counting one for one rather than two
separate and united these people were one
personalities were double heart was alone
benediction and a weeping sound is all that's left of her
