I'm mostly silent when we argue.

You kick me down
........with your reason and logic
........and I unhappily agree with everything.

I deliberate over my faults
........need forgiveness and more talk
........as you try to go to bed

But when I put the phone down
the answers to your exasperated questions
........rise up inside me.
........Like a shaken bottle of Cresta
........I fizz
........Overflow
........Claw at myself
........Sudden release of anger
........Pours everywhere
........Makes a mess
........YOU WEREN'T RIGHT!!

Burnt out, I lie down
........relive the conversation.
