Forever Young
.she sits in the palm of my hand .on a rock .smiling .ankles in a crystal stream .toes among pebbles If I could be that small would I stand before her .show her what she'll become .try to warn or would I share her rock simply touch her virgin, uncut arms? How would she see me? Scared disgusted would she run away, or understand .in her tiny, innocent, cold-footed way? I put her back into my bag She returns to the late 80s .where she lives I think of her when I'm tempted .to hurt her. |
