Jealous of her arms, no scratches
Skin, unbroken
Unlike mine.

Jealous as she smiles, not faking
Laughs, unknowing
Unlike me.

Angry as she judges, not thinking
Blind, not knowing
About me.

Thinking as she sleeps, why tell her?
Peace, unbroken
Unlike me.

Gentle, as she rolls my sleeve up
Sees I’m broken
Knows it’s me.

Quiet as she speaks, just asking
Cries, she’s sorry
Just like me.
