She knows she is exactly what they don’t want to see
The reflection of the their worst sides, forever on her flesh
Burnt, sliced, and scarred with bones poking through
All hidden underneath her baggy clothes and hoodies

What would happen if she let them know
Her true colors, what she really does with her time
Never mind, it’s not like they would care
Even if they realized she’s really not “perfectly fine”

So she will continue with her habits
Continue to torch herself like nobody cares
Because nobody does
